Ellie is a Bay Area-based drone pilot and documentary cinematographer specializing in aerial storytelling techniques for filmmakers and journalists. She is particularly interested in outdoor & environmental storytelling, and wants to constantly push the creative limits of what you can communicate with a drone.

She cut her drone-flying teeth while solo traveling across U.S. public land in a converted van (specifically BLM Land and U.S. Forest Service land). More than a hundred flight hours later, she now travels around California filming for clients such as NPR, UC Berkeley, Blue Shield of California, a former White House Calligrapher, and an upcoming Netflix documentary!
